This is not the direct line I was tracing - just happen to go overboard on collecting data - and they remarried into other lines so I have tons of information - some verified and others heresay- What I have is: 1800 Person Co., N.C. Willis Horton 1M 26-44; 1F 16-25 1800 Franklin Co., N.C. Willis Horton 1M 26-44 {could he have gone there to deal with a business problem since they later moved there- most people had land in more than one county due to family and grants} 1810 Person Co - (172) {Note- Have Heritage Quest at home and only have Ancestry at the library - but Heritage wont let me download the image} 1820 Person Co., N.C. (250 [4550-451] Willis Horton 2M -10; 1M -18; 2M -26; 1M 45+ 3F -10; 1F -26; 1F 45+ 1860 Franklin Co., N.C. Bakers X Roads Martha Horton 65 Binam 27 School Teacher Emily 24 Joseph 21 m Frances 18 f So the assumptions are: If this is the same Willis in Person Co in 1800; 1810; 1820 could it be the same Willis Horton who married Elizabeth Nichols on Person Co? I have him as dying in 1867 in TN but can not locate him in 1860 - not a real fact but since you say he remarried a Martha and she claimed all the property is it possible he died prior to 1860 in Franklin Co - even though the children went to Tennessee and Alabama? Like I said I don't have proof - such as a Nichols will stating the daughter's name. Hope it helps, Let me know what you think, Betty Notify Administrator about this message?
