Is there anyone out there that has a copy of Hugh Horton of Bertie Co. NC. Will, Inventory of Estate, Disbursement of Estate etc. that would be willing to share a copy of each for the payment that you may have paid for it from the archives.
Much to my dismay, I received notice, after waiting 3 weeks,from the NC Archives in Raleigh that they did not have any paper work on Hugh Horton of Bertie Co. and that they had used several spellings. This leaves me to beleive 1 of 2 things. Either they didn't know what they were doing or someone has taken the paperwork for selfish reasons.
I have read on this forum several times where people verbalized what "was in the inventory", or what was in the "estate settlement". This leads me to beleive that there are copies out there.
