Horton's From Illnois

Hello,

I am in search of any information about the Horton's. I very little information so I am hoping someone can give me a lead.

My grandfater was Earl Forrest Horton Born june 10, 1901 (this date is wrong with the SSD index it was really 1900) and he died in 1976. He was married to my grandmother Marion Louise Kirgan.

His parents are Charles Forrest Horton and Mary Myrtle (Kelly) Horton.

I know my grandfater (Earl) has some brothers - one thought to be named Kelly another went by Buster rest unknown. he also had a sister Fern Isabell Horton (b. 1902) (who married my grandmothers brother I believe Fred Kirgan) I do not know if there are any other sisters.

Based on what stories my mother can remember she thought that Charles Forrest Horton died at young about 48 from tuburucolis. His wife Mary remarried name of her spouse is unknown just that they used to call him "uncle bob". It is my understanding that Mary Myrtle (kelly) Horton had nose cancer. Her date of death is appr. late 1940 to 1950. My mother is just guessing that she was about ten to twelve when she died and she was born in 1938. Also thought she (Mary) was in Vandialia Ill and most likely buried near there.

Charles Forrest Horton Died before my mother was born so I know it was before 1938. My mother believes Charles was buried in Vandilia as well.

If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. For many years now I have hit a wall and can not find out who my great grandparents are or there parents.

thanks to anyone that responds.
