None of the given names I have match yours, but I'll mention some North Texas Hortons. There were at least two (unrelated?) Horton families in Jack County TX a generation or so back. The Horton family I don't know produced Thomas F. Horton, who wrote a book called The History of Jack County. The other Horton family came, in part, from Kentucky, I think. Here are some given names of Jack County Hortons: William L. (I think he was born in KY), Laura Lee, Lela B., Phillis, Wade, Modena, Lorea, Delores. This Horton family married into these families: Merrell, Leatherwood, Herd, Lee, and possibly Walker. There are several Hortons buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in the edge of Jacksboro (Jack) TX. (To this I can attest.) Also I'm told (but have not seen) that William Horton's mother (nee Merrell) is buried in a private cemetery on Merrell Road in northwest Dallas (Dallas) TX. (I'm pretty sure about the surname spellings, but some of the given names in the previous paragraph came from census transcriptions and are questionable.) I don't have a lot of info but if any of that sounds like there might be a connection for you, I'd be glad to furnish what little I have. T. Farmer Notify Administrator about this message?
