More info: Notice the occurrence of the surnames White, Dickson/Dixon, Batson & Batt [Batts] in both of the following two abstracts. (I’m still researching how these individuals connect with one another. The granddaughter Mary Batson mentioned in the William Ezell Sr. will was, I think [emphasis], a Mary Batts that married a Batson. Batt/Batts and Batson are distinct surnames that are found in New Hanover Co., NC. Hannah? Dickson and Lucy White were perhaps grandchildren of the surname Batts that had married, but this is pure speculation). Notice the occurrence of the surname Rowell in the second and third abstracts. (Note that I posted some additional information on the Rowell forum within the last month or so). Of much interest, some posts on the Stanley forum show that James Stanley d. 1793, father of Elizabeth Stanley who supposedly married John Horton, married a Rowell. Quite a coincidence. I would very much like to know how all these Rowell individuals connect with one another as I think it would help in figuring out how the other surnames connect with one another. ----------------------------------------------------------- Newspaper Article: South Carolina, Chesterfield District William Horton [William Batts Horton] vs. Washington Thompson & wife Nancy, Aaron Knight and wife Winifred, Samuel J.
