Daniel's brother Lewis when shot and killed by Abner Vance in 1817 left a verbal will leaving his worldly possesions to his borther Daniel's 3 children Lewis, Frances and Sally, not naming the remaining questioned 2, Drady and Johnson. DNA tests on descendants of Johnson show a 36/37 match with the family, so they are in the family just whose kids remains to be seen. Daniel's 1820 census has young kids in the family; male young enough for Johnson but no female of Drady's age.
Daniel's will dated 1 Oct 1842; probated 7 Sep 1843. names wife Harriett, daughters Sally George, wife of Harvey George and Maria Elizabeth Horton. Others mentioned but not named,
