Yes, there is a connection between the House and Horton families.
My information says that Daniel T. Horton, son of Daniel Horton and Mary Ezell, married Mary House. She was born circa 1778 in South Carolina and died 22 Nov 1859 in Stewart Co. GA.
I do not know the names of her parents, nor do I know her relationship to Averet House. But the Mary Horton in the record you found would be Mary House Horton.
Evidently, the relationship is pretty close, since her husband Daniel was granted administration of the estate.
Was Averet House a brother or the father of Mary?
I don't have any children listed for Daniel and Mary House Horton.. they are not my line, so I haven't really researched them, but now I'm interested..
