Thanks for the reply! I am not sure how/if William is related. A different branch came to Michigan from Eastern NY, Delaware County, as I recall.

This Isaac and Sarah went to Kent and Allegan Counties, MI with their daughter Lois Fairbrother, her husband Thomas and family.

There are at three couples names Isaac and Sarahh Houghtaling in Yates County, NY in the 19th century:

Isaac Houghtaling and Sarah Runyan
Isaac Houghtaling and Sarah Brown
Isaac Houghtaling and Sarah Unknown

The William in the posting is William, Fairbrother, son of Robert Fairbrother and Sarah A houghtaling.
