Searching for information leading to proof that my great grandfather, Calvin C. Hoye was/was not a Hoye by birth. Word of mouth info says he was adopted by the Hoye family, but no one seems to know his birth parents. I have him b. 28 Aug 1834,in Pulaski, VA; m. Mary E. Wallace 30 Oct. 1856. Their children were: Miles C., Eliza O., Samuel, John N., Joseph A. and Laura M., who was my grandmother. Any help appreciated.
