Joan, I just received info from Betty Webb from the following site: SARAHJAMES@aolcom and this is what she sent me."Capt. Samuel Hubbs of the Royal British Army landed in Nova Scotia Halifax in 1762. Jacob Hubbs, one of his sons, was born in Halifax on Oct 30, 1762. The family migrated south to So Carolina where another son,John, was born in 1763. Jacob Hubbs at age fifteen enlisted in the Rev in 1777 in Maryland while John Hubbs enlisted in So Carolina in 1781. A brother whose name is not known migrated to Barborville, KY." Please let me know what other information you have as my line in from John born in 1763 So Carolina.
