We could be talking about the same William Hubbs. Our information also mentions an encounter with "Bloody Bill Cunningham". Also mentioned is that he is listed in the book "Loyalists in the Southeren Campaign of the Revolutionary War" showing him as a loyalist as late as 1782. Also this book mentions John Madden (grandfather of William's sons wife) and other of his neighbors and friends were Loyalist.

Our info shows wife as Elizabeth who is listed in the 1800 census of Laurens County, S. Carolina. Her name appears on a deed with her dower rights relinquishment.

Our family is decendents of Harrison Hobbs, grandson of William.
