Looking for information on Silas Hults and his marriage(s) and family.
Silas Hults married Electa Davis in Wapello Co, Iowa in 1858. He may be the same Silas who was age 40 when he mustered into the 7th Infantry Iowa Volunteers in 1861. Did he and Electa divorce? They were in two separate households for the 1860 enumeration of Wapello Co, Iowa.
Then I lose Silas. Do you have information on this Silas and/or Electa Davis Hults? The marriage register index gave her as Mrs. Electa Davis but the actual entry in the marriage register gave her as Miss Electa (“Elmira” was crossed out) Davis.
