I have the following information:
1860 Census Erastus E. is listed with John and Catherine
1870 Census Erasuts A. is listed with John and Catherine
John being the son of Stephen D. Hulse and Jane Hensley. Catherine having the surname of Bright. The father of Stephen D. Hulse (born 1804)is unknown. It was once claimed to be John Huls and Mary Simms Davenport but has since been disproved. The son of John Huls and Mary Simms Davenport is Different Stephen D. Huls (born 1810) who married Margaret Goff. Our Stephen D. Hulse is thought to be a GRANDSON of Paul Huls and Eleanor Meeks (by way of a son whose name is not known). If you are doing DAR and can prove a parentage for 'our' Stephen D. Hulse please let me know as I have been unable to find his father.
