I read your answer to my question and we do disagree!

One of your parents would be: Edna, Paul, Ruth or Martha.

my husband's line:
William Iiams & Elizabeth Cheney
Richard Iiams & Elizabeth Gaither
John Iiams & Elizabeth
William Iiams & Mary Hampton
Thomas Iiams & Mercy Bonnell
William Iiams & Martha McClure

Harvey Iiams
Then my father in-law
Then my husband

After other researchers, it was determined that Howard Wright Newman had published the wrong children and dates for Thomas Iiams b. 1708. This was first edition in 1933. E. B. Iams, Mr. Ervin Bickley and others contacted Mr. Newman about these published entries and Mr. Newman reluctantly corrected these entries in his 1970 edition.
Four brothers did migrate to southwestern Pennsylvania [re; Richard, Thomas, William and John] prior to 1800, the problems remain to specifically identify the earlier lineages of these brothers and to separate them from the many relatives with the same given names. These four brothers are said to have married as follows:
1. Richard married Eleanor Pottenger.
2. Thomas married Catherine Gill Hampton
3. William married Mary Hampton
4. John married Elizabeth Gill Hampton
There was also a sister Mary Iiams who married William Penn.
You can see by the lineage, we differ after the first generation. I doubt that my certificate for William Iiams would be of any help to you. You can contact either: Ryan Jackson, PO Box 150, Goldendale, WA 98620-0150 or Harold Oliver, America's First Famlies, Membership, at the same address. You can ask for a Membership Application Form and complete same and submit it to them for approval.
You have to get sources for each person in the lineage
for William Iiams. If interested, I could send you my source information for William Iiams [Eyoms,Ijams] to your e-mail address.
Roberta
