Hi, I do know something about Wentworth Ibbitson. He married Eleanor Hollis in N. S. in 1868. Yes, he was the son of James and Elizabeth Ibbitson who was the son of William and Francis (Thompson) Ibbitson of Kilburn Parish, Yorkshire England. Wentworth had several siblings - one brother Moses who is my great grandfather. Several of the Ibbitsons disappeared from N. S. to settle in N. B. in a place called Shemogue or in those days Moccasin Town. The area they left was called Goose River or now know as Linden just outside of Amherst N. S. There in the Linden Cemetery you can see several gravestones for Ibbitson but I don't know for sure if Wentworth is among them. I suggest you search the N. B. records first as several of Moses' family moved with him to N.B.
