Searching for information re: siblings and ancestors of CAROLINE (WADE) MARK, who founded the Caroline Mark Home for Elderly Women in MT. CARROLL, ILL.
CAROLINE reported to have been born circa. 1820-22 in JEFFERSON COUNTY, VA. (now W. VA.)and moved to ILL circa. 1836-1842. Wife of James Mark from Scotland.
CAROLINE appears to have been the sister of my gg-grandfather, SOLOMON C. WAID, who moved to SCHUYLER COUNTY, ILL. by 1840. Solomon was an Associate member of the Rushville, ILL. Masonic Lodge in 1843. Probably Presbyterian based on his church membership in 1835 in PA.
Especially interested in confirming CAROLINE's relationship to SOLOMON and information re: SOLOMON, his parents and family, and his life in ILL. 1840 to his death in 1874. (Caroline's history is relatively well established).
