Catherine Ackerman First b. abt 14 Jul 1786 and John Jacob Troxel b. 01 Oct 1782. They moved to Fairfield County, Ohio where he died 03 Feb 1833 (acccording to his probate records).. She subsequently md. Adam Coon.
Here is the problem. Previous researcher for this family gives her name as Catherine Ackerman First, daughter of Jacob First and Charlotte Franks. HOWEVER, all genealogy trees I have found, so far, indicate that the Catherine First of Jacob and Charlotte was born in 1809. So, this can't be the same person. Can anyone help straighten me out on this? There is no doubt about her possible DOB because of census records and that she is buried in Illinois. So, I need to find out if anyone has a clue about who her real parents are.
Could she have been an Ackerman who married a First and then md. John Jacob Troxel? Or am I leading up a wrong path here?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
