Hi Julie,

I did find this "Gravley":

MUNSON, John
GRAVLEY, Maggie
1899-12-27 (year/month/day)
License# 7976
County: Grundy

at
Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763–1900
http://www.ilsos.gov/GenealogyMWeb/marrsrch.html

I looked at the Munson/Munsen surname for Grundy County and the name generally seems to be Norwegian. There must have been a Norwegian settlement in Grundy or a nearby, neighboring community and/or county.

There were Gravley, Gravly, Gravle surnames here:

Index - Norwegian Church Records:

... which I found from here:
http://grundycountyil.org/

Click on each entry/subject heading for the Norwegian Church Records Index.
I didn't really look at the first names but perhaps you'll find some kind of connection there.

You might want to search "Norwegians + Grundy County, IL" and you may find other records that are off-site from the usual genealogy websites.

Hope this may be a lead for you or at least a start.

Good luck!

Kathleen
