Alfred Newton Rogers and Euphamy Linson

I am searching for any information about Alfred Newton Rogers and his wife Euphamy Barham Linson. They married August 24, 1884 in Pope County. He was the son of Daniel W. Rogers or Rodgers and Keziah Maxwell Rogers.

Alfred was also called Newt. Alfred Newton was born on March 28, 1864 in Bedford County, TN and died on October 1, 1941 in Johnson County. Euphamy Linson Rogers was born on May 28, 1862 and died on September 6, 1941. They are buried in the Glendale cemetery. They lived for many years in the town of Simpson. Newt was a farmer and is mentioned in the Johnson County Family History book. He was also an elder in the Grand Pierre Primitive Baptist church and performed funerals.

Known children (from censuses) were: Melissie, born May, 1885 and Ehriah, born March, 1889. I believe that Charles Newton Rogers, born August 19, 1888, may have been a son. He married Ruth Pearl Maxwell and they had a son Carlos Marion Rogers. Another person I believe may have been their child was Nelson, who was killed in a train wreck.

A woman named Gertrude Wright, wife of J. Arthur Wright, may have been a daughter as she reported both Alfred and Euphamy's deaths and is also buried in the Glendale Cemetery.

Any information at all would be most appreciated. Alfred Newton was the youngest brother of my great-grandfather, James Franklin Rogers.

Mrs. Linda Rogers Grinnell
