I am not certain the information on a Rachael Carroll shown below is connected to your line of Carroll's but thought I would pass it along just in case. I have no further information on this Rachael Carroll, other than born in MO.
1. RACHAEL1 CARROLL was born Abt. 1835 in MO, and died Oct 1912 in McVey, IL Macoupin Co. She married HENRY F. QUICK 13 Feb 1853 in Macoupin Co. Illinois. He was born 08 Mar 1829 in Charleston Ind, and died 11 Feb 1892 in Palmyra IL Macoupin Co.

The following information appeared in the Macoupin Inquirer on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1892 in the Palmyra Items.
Henry Quick died last Friday and was buried in the Wm. Crum graveyard near Goshen. West of Palmyra, Ill.
The following information appeared in the Carlinville Democrat - Palmyra Items on Thursday, Feb. 18, 1892:
Henry Quick died at his residence near Goshen on Thursday of last week and was buried on Friday afternoon.
