I'm not to sure if this is the department that I need.
Just received a letter stating that a warrant was issued by President Monroe (of the United States)for 160 acres of land for Michael Brady, which he never used in McDonough, Illinois.It does not state a year SORRY. If someone could look it up & tell me if this is true and when Michael bought the land and how. Michael is my GGG Grandfather. Never new he was even ever in Illinois.Thanks,
