Tampico is located in Whiteside County, Illinois. It is the birthplace of the only president born in IL, Ronald Reagan, and also the birthplace of R. Admiral Joseph Mason Reeves. Our organization encompasses parts of Whiteside County and Bureau County, with attention to Tampico, Hume Twp., Hahnaman/Deer Grove in Whiteside County and Thomas & Yorktown in Bureau County. We often include family histories for near-by towns, such as Prophetstown (Whiteside Co.) or Walnut (Bureau Co.). Our website offers a very interactive Message Board which is monitored daily.
