Hello all… I am looking for some help on the Foreman family. On 28 Dec 1857 in Pike County, John Foreman and Sarah Stumbaugh married. I can not find them in the 1860 census but in the 1870 census, they are living in Pearl Twp.
After that I again am unable to find them. They had 5 children. John Harrison Foreman, born around 1859; Emily Foreman, born around 1861, Siegel Foreman born around 1863, Martha Foreman born around 1867, and Thomas Foreman born around 1869. All of these birth years are based on the 1870 census. Starting in the 1900 census, I find John Harrison’s widow, Mary, living with all the children in Greene County, Arkansas. Also living next door is Siegel and his wife, Margaret. From another researcher the death date for John Harrison Foreman is Feb 1900. I am thinking he died in Greene, Arkansas.
Anyway, other than those two boys I am clueless on what happened to mom and dad and the other children. If anyone has any information on the Foreman family in Pike County, I would love to hear from you. I know from cemetery records, there are many Foreman names in the area but none match up to my Foreman family.
