Hello All,
My great great grandmother's name is Susan Elkins. This is almost all I know of her. What I do know is attached below.
I just found out that her family came from the Jackson County, TENN area before moving to state of Illinois. I also have learned that some allied family names (who also moved to illinois) are JONES, PEDIGO, VANZANDT, HUDSON, etc.
If anyone has any information this family... especially my great great grandmother, I'd love to hear from ya... I just found out today her true surname was Elkins!!! Thanks, Peggy Rowe

1. SUSAN1 ELKINS died 1898. She married JESSE JONES. He died 1896 in Murphysboro, ILL.
Notes for SUSAN ELKINS:
After Jesse Jones died, Susan provided for the family. she worked in the
fields and had a sunstroke in 1898. She remained ill until her death in
December when she died.
Jesse Jones was a coalminer in Murphysboro, Ill. Died in a coal mine
accident, in 1896.
