I am seeking information on Amanda, also known as Emily (Frey) Chamness. She was born ca 1831 in Robertson County, TN. Her parents were John N. Frey(1806-1878) and Nancy Fiser(ca 1806-ca 1840). After her mother's death, her father married Lucinda Dean and the family moved to Logan Co.,KY. In early 1850's the Frey family settled in Williamson Co., IL. Amanda/Emily Frey married George B. Chamness in 1851 in Williamson Co. THey had five or six children, and she died in 1861, according to one source. I am interested in any old family stories about her, and any documented info about when she died and where she was buried. Two of her children died in infancy and were buried at Chamness Cemetery in the Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge. Will be glad to share what info I have.
