Thomas R. Smith and Nancy are buried in #8 cemetery near Corinth, IL as are Green Thomas Smith and THomas' daughter Sarah Elizabeth. (my great grand parents)I live in Benton, IL about 20 miles north and west of corinth. Thomas was born in 1837, I'll have to look up the exact date. His father was Joseph Smith who was married to Mary Merrill. So I'm thinking that your GGGrandfather (Joseph) is the father of my GGGrandfather (Thomas R.) BTW, the wife and I lived near Joliet (Morris) for about 6 years.
