I don't know about Edward and Elin Isaacson, but I can tell you that my great-great grandfather's name was Edward Isacksson, and his family came from Karparo, Vaasa, Finland. However, his wife was named Maria Evelina Johansson. I know Finnish last names don't count for much because they changed every generation, but there could be a link somewhere...
