Alan,
One of my great-great grandfathers was a William Ivory b. circa 1845). His wife was Ellen Corcoran (b. Ireland). William's birthplace is listed as Canada on one official document and New York on another. I don't know which true. One of his daughters (my g-grandmother was born in Brooklyn, of the three ramaining children, two were born in Wisconsin and one in Michigan. By 1890 they were all in Chicago where they eventually died, all before 1917. I do not know of any siblings for William nor do I know his parents' names. He is one of my walls.Let me know if there are possibilities.
