JACKLIN, John Gerald - of Caressant Care Home, Mary Bucke St., St. Thomas on Saturday October 4, 2008 at his late residence in his 102nd year. Beloved husband of the late Lera Jacklin (1994) and dear father of Margaret Fowler of St. Thomas and her late husband Robert, Ellard and his wife Susan Jacklin of Florida, Alan and his wife Joan Jacklin of Camlachie, Patricia Jacklin and her husband Ed of British Columbia and the late Brian Jacklin. Dear brother of Raymond of Parry Sound, Lloyd of Woodstock, Doreen Padgett of Woodstock and Isabel Toews of Sudbury. Also survived by a number of grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. John was born May 4, 1907 in Parry Sound, son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Whelan) Jacklin. He had retired from mining and construction. Resting at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Donations to the charity of one's choice.
