The VA Magazine of History & Biography 1904 Vol. XI pg 309, 310; gives the will of Joseph John Jackman of Surrey co. Collony of VA, gent. Will 27 April 1714: proved 27 May 1714. Mother Catharine Jackman. Godson Josiah John Halliman;Brother William Jackman; Children of sister Mary Harris; Brother-in-law Richard Slade and Catharine his wife and daughter Mary Slade. Sister-in-law Catharine Allen and Cosen John and Arthur Allen. Wife Mary.

Joseph John Jackman md 1st Elizabeth, widow of Captain Robert Canfield, and daug of Authur Allen. Her bro. Arthur was speaker of the House of Burgesses. He md 2nd Mary.

There is no proven connection between Joseph John Jackman and the Jackmans of Fauquier Co. VA. According to his will Joseph John had no living children at the time of his death.
