My grandmother Edith Harriet Jackman married John Leonard Kirk in 1913. He was a boot and clog maker in Armitage Street Ardwick Manchester, his own shop. I believe Edith was the daughter of two cousins marrying, but not certain. Does anyone have any information on this particular Jackman family?
There is family hearsay which connects the Jackmans with royal romany blood, but again no evidence.
