Debra, I cannot confirm we are connected because I do not have the siblings of those in my line but the dates and places point to a possibility that somewhere along the line, our greatgrandfathers could have been brothers. Here is what I have:

Thomas Jacks, b. abt 1676 in Maryland, his son, Richard Jacks, b. 6-17, 1787 in Hanging Rock, Rowan Co., NC, his son Richard Reuben Jacks, b. 1739 in Baltimore, Maryland, d. 11-17-1831 in Surry Co., NC, his son, Richard Reuben, Jr. b. 10-16-1780 in Surry Co., NC and d. 7-31-1831 in Jefferson Co., Tennessee, his son, Silas Jacks, b. 6-28-1821 but I do not know where, his son, James Asbury Jacks, b. 9-8-1844 in Rockville, Indiana. James had a brother, Silas, Jr. b. 1-4-1855 in Adams Twnsp, Parke Co., Indiana and they both died in Iowa. I have info on some of their wives if you are interested. Hope this helps. Jean
