Much Thanks, will check it out...have seen many ref to this marr in various sources, but am begining to suspect that they can be traced back to a Mr Anjou who did a much earlier Jacques work, incl. the citation for this marriage...but have seen reports that this fellow actually made up stuff!!!! What is odd is that I went to the Edinburgh Archives and a fellow there tried to find the orig records...but coulkd not even find any ref to McFarland let alone a record of the marriage!!!! Mac
