The 1880 Federal Census for the Rockford area of Coosa County, Alabama, lists the following individuals in a household: "Monroe Jacks" (head), age 28, born in AL, father born in GA, mother born in AL; "Derthra A. Jacks" (wife), age 26, born in Alabama, as were both of her parents; "Emiline Jacks" (dau), age 11, born in AL; "Archie A. Jacks" (son), age 8, born in AL; "John W. Jacks (son), age 5, born in AL; "Mary E. Jacks" (dau), age 4, born in AL; "Beattrice Jacks" (dau), age 2, born in AL; and "Alkzie Jacks" (dau), age 6 months, born in AL.
Living next to this household, is "Doctor F. Jacks" (head), age 36, born in AL, parents born in GA; "Alcazia H. Jacks" (wife), age 40, born in GA, parents born in NC; and "Pernusa C. Bridges" (niece), age 21, born in AL, as were parents. This Doctor F. Jacks is probably a brother to the previously mentioned Monroe Jacks.
