I have an undated obituary and column from The Baltimore Sun on Ferdinand W. It says he was born in Glarus and came to this country when he was 13. His parents settled on a farm in New York but later he came Balt and learned the barbering trade. His first shop was at 304 W Pratt St and then he moved to 118 S Eutaw St in 1918. The article has a good picture of him and interesting tidbits.
