Hello Bill
I checked my info about Joseph Jacober as I have his birth and death certificates:
Joseph Jacober was born on January 6, 1819 in Wittersdorf (Alsace). He died on February 10, 1890 in Altkirch (Alsace).
Anne-Marie Meyer was born on September 26, 1818 in Wittersdorf (Alsace). She married Joseph Jacober on July 7, 1846. They got 4 children: Augustin (1847-?), Joseph (1848-1900), Henri(1853-1926). I have no indication about the 4th child but it is said in a document from the South-Alsace Historical Society about the Jacober family that Anne-Marie left her husband all of a sudden after the birth of her 4th child and went to the USA in 1853. It does not said to which Loretto she went neither at which port she landed. The reason is unknown.
