I have been looking for the death record for Joseph Jacober (1819-1890) for many years. I will ask Altkirch records office for a copy of the document for my files. My search is done. Thank you very much!!!
Where do you live? How close are you to Colmar in Département du Haut-Rhin? Do you know that there is an archives office there? You can look at the records for the 19th century yourself. A lot of research can be done there.
You must have more information to know that Anne Marie Meyer went to New York. She died in New York City on October 3, 1892. On the death record, her parents were listed as Augustin and Catherine Meyer. Also, on the death record, it states that she was in the USA for 10 years and in New York City for 10 years. She is my grandmother's grandmother.
