My great grandmother Ma.Paz Jacobo lived in Fresnillo Zacatecas and migrated to Arizona around 1916 thru 1917.When she died in Douglas Arizona on her death record she was listed as Jacob.There is a story in my famliy there was a jewish famliy in our line but I have no proof.The surname Jacobo may have been a name adopted during the colonial period of Mexico because my grandmother looks very Native American.It is also possible she could have had a jewish parent.Anyway...I am trying to find out more about this side of my famliy and am hoping I could find someone with Jacobo background from Zacatecas who may have answers.I dont know if our ancestors are related.Only the old ones would know and most of mine have all passed on.
