My GGGGFather Joshna Jacobs was born in Scotland, probably in the late 1700's. This information is from a letter from my GGFather to my GFather.
I have been told that the Jacobs that were in Scotland during this period were for the the most part Sephardic Jews that had been expelled from Spain in 1492. I have not been able to find anything to substantiate this.
Does anyone out there know anymore on this subject?
