This Jacobs family immigrated from Darmstadt, Hessen, DEU (Germany) on the ship "Goethe," sailing from Bremen to Baltimore in September 1844. These individuals are all related, though some from a previous marriage(s) of the patriarch, Adam, and some are poss. nieces. Family lore says they were Jewish in Germany, Christian in USA. The family settled for a time in PA. From there, some migrated to OH, IL & IN. Brackets are mine.
