Hi Yvonne,
Have you tried to locate Magnus through the Madison Museum? Perhaps his wife's family there would have some info. It is a wonderful area museum and worth a try. A card addressed to the Madison Museum, Madison, MN 56256 asking for help might work.
Our Jacobson is from Norway too. We went over and found several relatives about 35 miles north of Oslo but it is very difficult because of the name changes. My Madison connection is from Denmark and there were also many name changes there. Good Luck. Terry Jacobson
