I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . Two of our men are Charles Jacobson & Peter C. Jacobson. Both enlisted in August from Dunkirk, Dane Co., WI Charles was b. c. 1843 & d. 5 Feb. 1863 at Young's Point, LA - disease. We've found no record for a marriage. I have no information for Peter that you did not list in you post but the birth, wife, & children are the same. I can send you the service records if you wish.
Do you know if Charles & Peter were brothers? Have you found any additional info on his parents, siblings, his wife & her parents & siblings?
