Hendrick Jacobus b. abt 1752 in Pompton Plains, NJ and d. aft 1810 Ontario, NY is given as marrying a Sara Sisco in some family trees. They had issue:
Simon b. abt 1778 NY amd married Catherine Decker in 1801 NY and 2nd to Ann Newton in 1837; Dirk b. 1779 NJ; Classtje b. 1780 NJ; Marritye b. 1784 NJ; Margaretha b. 1786 NJ; Johannes 1788 NJ; Garret b. 1791 NJ died 1876 in Oneida, Illinois and married Elizabeth Wilhelms; Martyntje b. 1794 Pompton Plains, NJ; and Annache b. 1797 NJ.
Who did Martyntje Jacobus marry? Was Martyntje aka "Tyna/Tina/Tiny"?
I speculate she may have been the Tina who married Abijah Decker in 1814 in Ontario County, New York. In an affidavit of Garrett Jacobus age 80 years, of Oneida, Knox County, Illinois dated April 20, 1872, Garrett stated he was the "eye-witness of the marriage cermonies of Abijah Decker to Tina Jacobus".
Garret Jacobus age 79 was in the household of his son-in-law Walter Newcomb in Farmington Twp, Fulton County, Illinois.
Can anyone confirm this Tina was or was not a sister of Garrett Jacobus?
