I don't know if JAQUAS and JACOWAY could be the same family.

I do know that there seems to be some connection to the Huguenot settlement of NY (maybe, Long Island) and the LENOIRs (fl mid 1700's to 1800's) who are in Wilkes Co NC where this JACOWAY family is.

I would be interested in the neighbors and family groups if you find a connection.
