I am looking for information on the lineage of my gr.gr.grandmother, Sarah Ellen Jagger. She was born in Westhampton, Long Island on Oct.28,1822,the daughter of Oliver and Cleopatra (Halsey) Jagger. She married George Waldo of Scotland, CT on Sept. 23, 1847 in New York City. She died Feb. 14, 1898 in Brooklyn, NY at the home of her son George. Her daughter Ellen Melvine Waldo Weston was my mother's mother's mother. (I thank Victor Waldo for the majority of this information.)
I suspect Sarah was descended from John Jagger, Sr. and Hannah Cross, but this is just a guess. Also, I've noticed the name Halsey come up alot in Southampton history. Any leads there?
