Hi Maurine,
The problem with tracking Jagger men is complicated by the vast number of Jagger's named Jeremiah.

I descend from Jeremiah Jagger, b. ca 1730 in Suffolk County, NY who had the following 4 children:

1. Jerusha Jagger b. 28 Apr 1762 Southampton, Suffolk Co., Long Island, NY who married #1 Stephen BISHOP (b. ca 1760 - died 1788) and #2 William ROWLEY (1765-1850).

2. Jeremiah Jagger, b. ca 1772 (perhaps earlier) - this "Jeremiah III" inherited all his grandfather, Nathan Jagger's, lands and meadows in Southampton, NY. Jeremiah was appointed as the executor of his grandfather, Nathan Jagger's, will in 1786 so he must have been at least 21 years old at that time.

3. Jane Jagger, b. ca 1774.

4. Daniel Jagger, b. 25 May 1776 Southampton, Suffolk Co., NY, died 26 July 1855 E. Palmyra, Wayne Co., NY, who married Abigail CULVER.

I don't know that the Jeremiah Jagger whom you seek is a descendant of the Jeremiah listed as son 2. above, however hope I've given enough info that you can either pursue him or mark him off your list.

Best wishes,
Sandi Jagger Gauthier
