Hi Jacquie. The Calderdale Family History Society now has a research room in the Brighouse Library, Rydings Park. The room is open Tuesdays from 1:30 to 4:30PM, & Thursdays from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. For info. contact Susan Clarke, tel. 01484-304426, or asc@ntlworld.com Actually, it's kind of funny that I'm giving you directions, as I live in North Carolina & have never been to Brighouse.
Incidentally, my ancestor Mary Hardiman Jagger had a sister who married Benjamin Aaron. The Aaron shoeshop, founded in 1810, is still in operation in Halifax, run by my Hardiman cousins Philip & David Aaron. I've never met them, but Philip has sent me some of the Aaron-Hardiman genealogy.
Best regards,
Gary
