Hannah Jagger Halsey is the daughter of Jeremiah Jagger, son of John Jagger of Southampton, one of the early settlers of that town ca 1640. She is not directly related to Jeremiah Jagger of Stamford. There is a lot of confusion regarding these two Jagger families. Jeremiah of Stamford has been mistakenly named as the father of John of Southampton. This has been proven incorrect; they
may have been brothers or otherwise related. No one seems
to know.
