Do you know the Bohemian town your Janak was born in? There are not many Janaks in the US, relatively speaking.There are two large groups, in Texas as you have noticed, and in Nebraska. There is a group in MA who all came from John Janak born 1824 Kumzak, Bohemia and immigrated in 1883. He had three sons and one daughter who came with him. Two of the sons had descendents and those are the New Bedford MA Janaks.Some of them spell the name as it sounded in Bohemia..Yanak. The MA family is our family.
