My name is Larry Jeffers. I currently live in Maryville, TN. I was born in Okmulgee, OK and moved to Modesto, CA when I was 3. My Grandfather was John T Jeffers. His mother was Viola Holmesley.
Check out the Scott County, TN vital statistics page and you will find a slew of Jeffers. I believe the Jeffers settled on the TN-KY border before spreading out to other states. Before TN-KY, it was the Holmesley family in Cherryvale, NC which is in Gaston County.
